Volunteer: Friends of Nolde Forest Official Volunteer Opportunities 2026Are you an active member of the Friends of Nolde Forest (https://www.friendsofnoldeforest.org/) who is participating in FoNF Volunteer Events (or plans to in the future)? Then THIS is the opportunity for you. Although the FoNF utilize the Track it Forward volunteer system, we still need ALL volunteers on DCNR property to be signed up through our system. You do that by signing up as a volunteer of THIS opportunity. If you are not signed up as a volunteer for this opportunity you are not permitted to volunteer for any FoNF Events happening at the EE Center. You will continue to track your hours on Track it Forward, but the Friends Chair will share the Track it Forward volunteer report with me on a monthly basis so I can upload the hours here as well. This means, once you sign up here, you are done. Just use Track it Forward and the data will be transferred for you. (however, if you sign up to volunteer for a non-FoNF related opportunity like trail crew, you will need to track those hours on this website) Location: Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center Are you an active member of the Friends of Nolde Forest (https://www.friendsofnoldeforest.org/) who is participating in FoNF Volunteer Events (or plans to in the future)? Volunteer: Nolde Forest Trail Maintenance 2026There are many ways to volunteer to help maintain the trails at Nolde Forest. If working independently is more your style, we also have a volunteer "Adopt-a-Trail" program. You will be assigned a trail in the park and you can come volunteer on your trail as your schedule allows. There is no set time, though we ask that you come out and check the trail at least once a month. But this option allows you to volunteer on your own schedule when it works for you. After an orientation with park staff you will simply show up when convenient for you, access the volunteer tools, and work for as long as your day allows. Please record your independent volunteer hours here for any trail work duties.
