- Work on your own schedule
- Hand tools only (no power tools)
- Perform basic erosion control
- Repair trail where needed and maintain trail sides
- Pick-up litter
- Inspect the condition of trail and trail signs
- Removal of invasive species of plants (confirm with park staff)
- Clear trail of debris and brush back encroaching vegetation (hand tools only)
- Refer issues such as downed trees and severe overgrowth to park staff.
- Report issues requiring law enforcement such as resource damage and/or vandalism to park staff.

One mile trail begins along Aughwick Road just above park office, then winds along the bottom of Tuscarora Mountain to join the Three Mile Trail. Three mile trail wonders through the Tuscarora mountain side and combines up with Plessinger Trail on the other side of Aughwick Road (new trail addition).
