We can use your help pulling Water Chestnut, an invasive aquatic plant, from around Lackawanna Lake!
We're looking for a few volunteers to team up with us as we head out in kayaks to pull up the plant around the shoreline and haul it away. We'll show you how to recognize this plant and provide kayaks and gear to use. You are welcome to use your own boat if desired.
We plan to meet on July 9, 16, and 23 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
This is muddy and wet work. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older with basic kayaking experience.
