Denton Hill State Park
The steep grade and elevation of the park made Denton Hill an ideal location to establish a downhill ski area and lodge in the 1950s and 1960s. Though the ski area has been closed since 2014, in 2023, DCNR announced a public-private partnership was being negotiated to allow Denton Go, LLC. to operate the a four-season concession at the park.
Denton Go currently offers several recreational opportunities in the park, please visit their website for more information.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) protects and enhances the state’s natural, recreational, and cultural resources for current and future generations. We manage state parks and forests, support community recreation and conservation initiatives, provide science-based expertise on Pennsylvania’s ecological health, and promote outdoor experiences that enrich the lives of all residents and visitors.
Due to the unique nature of the public-private partnership, volunteer opportunities are limited at this time. Please contact the park if you have a specific project in mind.
