Worlds End State Park

Who We Are

Worlds End State Park is situated in a narrow S-shaped valley of the Loyalsock Creek, just south of Forksville, Sullivan County. The park was largely established by the Civilian Conservation Corps which was formed as part of the New Deal Program in 1933.

What We Do

Surrounded by the Loyalsock State Forest, this 780-acre park offers visitors diverse recreational opportunities within a pristine environment. The rugged natural beauty coursing through the heart of the Endless Mountains landscape provides many photographic possibilities.

	The park's day use area includes parking as well as picnic tables and charcoal grills along the Loyalsock Creek. When operating, the park's concession offers hot and cold food options. Driving through the parking lot and day use area, you arrive at the park office where trail maps and concierge service is readily available. Driving past the park office down Cabin Bridge Road, you arrive at the park's cabin colony. Across from the day use entrance on Route 154, you'll find the park's beach area, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day as long as conditions permit. Walking up the hill from the beach, you enter the beach grove where there are additional picnicking facilities with charcoal grills including the bulk of the park's historic, and still functional, wood-burning stone grills built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. At the top of the beach grove, across from the park office and route 154 is the park's cornhole court, generously donated by the Friends of Worlds End. Driving South on Route 154 towards Laporte, past the the day use area, beach, beach grove, and office, you'll come to the park's campground which has a variety of campsites both with and without electricity.
	The park is open from sunrise to sunset year-round. The park office is open from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday year-round, staffing permitting. From April to November the office hours expand to include Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM. For more information, call ahead at 570-924-3287
