Help monitor Eastern Bluebirds and other cavity nesting bird species along our cavity nest box trail that runs throughout the park. Volunteers check each box weekly or biweekly and collect data to be compiled for our statewide cavity nesting report. Many bird species rely on these boxes to help improve their species population. It is important that the boxes are checked consistently to ensure no predators have entered the nest and to help clear the boxes out for the next nesting cycles.
Volunteers are contacted by the coordinator to help plan schedules and assign boxes.
This opportunity runs from March-August. We are currently looking for volunteers in advance of the 2027 nesting season.
