VOLUNTEER CAMPGROUND HOST
JOB DESCRIPTION
INTRODUCTION
There are 3 campground host positions at Cook Forest State Park and one campground host position at Clear Creek State Park. Cook Forest State Park is in Clarion and Forest Counties and Clear Creek State Park is in Jefferson County.
The campground host is a volunteer position that serves as a “live-in” host at either the Ridge Campground or the Clear Creek State Park Campground. The daily campsite fee is waived, provided the host agrees to perform the principal duties and responsibilities outlined below. Hosts will be required to perform varied tasks beyond greeting campers and providing information. The additional tasks vary from season to season and are summarized below, in addition to the standard host duties.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the campground host is to assist campers by answering questions and explaining the park rules and regulations to the park visitor. Hosts must be familiar with the park rules and regulations.
Campground hosts are expected to be model campers and practice good housekeeping on their sites. Hosts must observe all parks rules and regulations.

Control Over Position
Hosts generally work independently.
The Assistant Park Manager is available to answer questions, discuss problems, and provide guidance.
In the absence of the Assistant Park Manager, questions or concerns may be directed to the Park Manager.
The Assistant Park Manager will provide orientation to new host(s).
