Join Sierra Club and LSP staff as we remove invasive species in the park. We will be focused on Glossy Buckthorn growing on the trails near the Park Office. We'll show you how to recognize this plant and provide loppers to cut it down. You can bring your own work gloves, but there will be some on hand. We recommend long pants and sleeves since we will be in brushy areas and could encounter thorns and ticks. Closed-toed shoes are required.
This event is part of the Enjoy the Resources. Protect the Resources. day of activities, presented by NEPA Sierra Club and Lackawanna State Park staff.
This event welcomes everyone to enjoy the park, link the natural resources to our country’s founding in recognition of America250, and connect you to conservation efforts in the park and beyond!
